This car is crap and is not beating the world record, these unknown companies are coming with pure rubbish. Has anyone heard of the Lotec Sirius powered by mercedes V12, yeah, 1334 BHP and 1299NM of tourque. And thats a V12 MERCEDES BI-TURBO!!!! ALSO THIS CAR WAS MADE IN 2001 AND THIS NONSENSE IS MADE TODAY. AMG55, please stop capitalizing every word... in regards to the Lotec Sirius, please read the articles you link to, and I quote "if production were ever to commence." This car is not in production, SSC takes the world record for production cars! *insert foot in mouth*

But how is it in the corners?

pretty ordinary looking, does it have the creature comforts of the veyron or is it just light and fast, veyron is kinda 'old' now anyway; but couldn't SSC make something beautiful?

I give SSC all the credit for trying; however, there are three things any "production" car MUST have for U.S. sales and I highly doubt that they have done any of this work: an EPA certificate of emissions systems compliance, a verification of OBD II strategy acceptance, a certificate from CARB (if that is you are selling cars in CA, NY, NJ, VT, MA, MI, CT, or RI) For company liability and owner insurance rates, there are two other things that it SHOULD have: Verification and compliance testing to FMVSS standards by independent testing facilities, car "crashworthiness" assessment by the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) performed by NHTSA would be a bonus, but probably not likely for the number of units to be made by SCC. And finally,..........it must be "in" production. That is components from production tooling, assembled either on a line or compartments, and then legally sold to legitimate customers with registered VIN numbers. If it isn't, you are just another wiseacre building kit-cars that believing they are something other than a kit-car. Nothing wrong with kit-cars/component cars as long as you know you aren't building fully certified production vehicles. Also, any car builder/engineer/fabricator with any self respect never uses the term "supercar". That is a term coined by people that don't know any better and sure as hell never designed, developed, prototyped, tested, certified, or produced a car; period.

Shelby as in the the Ford tuners? It looks a lot like a Lamborghini Diablo, but it's no worse looking than the fat-arse Bugatti

i think the koenigsegg ccx and the bugatti veyron 16.4 are much better choices, who cares if a car can go fast in a straight line, when it can go round corners fast?

Why build a whole new car which only gets 2 more mph tha a Veyron?

i finally got a hold of 1 but didnt buy it way to much but i really love this car 1180bhp and it beat the veyron in a full speed run next time i find 1 i will buy it for sure

this car is SWEET. More horsepower Than the Veyron 16.4, and it only has one v8 engine with half the cylinders. That is pretty impressive. The fact that it is American made even adds to my love of this car. As for the people who say it looks ugly, the veyron just looks fat, plain and simple. this car is lightweight and super aerodynamic. I LOVE THIS CAR.
