Re:New Ford Ka spyshots and article.
I still don't understand when the new Ka is being launched.
The article says 'HALF A YEAR' after the Fiat 500?
QUOTE
Alfredo Altvilla, Fiat’s man for new business projects, explains why FORDS NEW KA WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY HALF A YEAR AFTER ITS ITALIAN TWIN.
Half a year after when?
Half a year after The italian launch of the 500!
Half a year after the Uk launch of the 500?
Half a year after the Australian launch of the 500?
Half a year after what exactly?
What does anyone think

the old ka was one of the ugliest micro cars on the market. it looks like even without camouflage and the taped on head and taillights it's gonna be ugly again...

This isn't the next Ford Ka but a new Fiat supermini codenamed "B-Compact". It will be in European showrooms in late 2008. This slots above the Fiat 500 but below the Panda in the Fiat line-up in Europe.

You could be right aygo, however these latest photos were taken in Germany where Ford are known to test cars. Do Fiat test their cars in Germany too? I assumed the 'B-segment' Fiat car would be tested in Italy.

@ KevinB. Fiat did test this mule in Italy but the Fiat 500 Abarth SS is also being tested in Germany too.

I really want this to be the new Ford Ka, being tweaked and tested to perfection by Ford/Fiat, but the more I look at it the more I think you could be right aygo,it could well be a new little Fiat. So where are they hiding the new Ford Ka? It's supposed to be launched in 2008 and the suspense is killing me! :)

I still think it IS the new Ford Ka (being built by Ford in conjuction with Fiat). If it is NOT the new Ka then it is probably be a B-segment Fiat vehicle under development,to slot in between the Panda and Grande Punto. We will know one way or the other by this time next year!

I haven't seen Ford using this type of disguise on any of their test cars.
Fiat is also well known for having head and tail lamps sticking out. They did it to the Grande Punto during early development
