New names across the range

The new improvements, or rather changes, apply to both the Nissan Micra hatchbach and c+c and will go on sale with its new nose and names starting October. In order to bring some more unity to the Nissan line-up, the Micra will start using the Note and Qashqai grade names which means that the Initia becomes Visia, Spirita becomes Acenta, Sport becomes Tekna, Sport SR changes back to its original 160SR badge, while Active Luxury remains the same.

Visually only the front grille changes, the chrome central line is replaced by a chrome outline and the sporty 160SR bumper is now standard from the Acenta grade upwards. The B-pillar is also no longer color coded and the headlamps will have a less profound profile making the look smoother. In addition, the wheel caps on the base model and Acenta have been restyled, but you could spend an extra 200 pounds on the limited time special edition Acenta + which sports 15” alloy wheels.

Engines don't change at all and pricing remains largely the same, although an audible speed limit warning is standard on all but the base model which regretfully only beeps at the driver when you hit the set limit.
