Since our last posting of the Audi RS6 Avant just a few days ago, here are the latest shots of the super wagon. Normally we don't post spy photos of the same vehicle so close to each other without having something new to report, however, these shots of the Avant in action on the German Nürburgring are so sweet we couldn't resist.
To recap, the Audi RS6 is a direct competitor to the Mercedes E63 AMG and BMW M5 which have both been presented a while ago. The RS6 variant seen here undergoing final tests receives exterior details such as bigger air intakes in the front bumper, rear bumper diffuser and bulging wheel arches, which are difficult to see due to the polka dot camouflage intended to visually obscure the body contours. However, you'll notice just how much the fenders are flared out by looking down the side of the vehicle from the rear. Another clue are the oval exhaust tips which distinguish themselves from the S6 which has four circular exhaust tips.
Powered comes from the same V10 engine in the S6 but with some help from a turbo delivering about 520-550 bhp. The RS6 will debut in Frankfurt next month.
