Suzuki's stand at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show will be host to a new four-door concept car expected to take the firm upmarket from 2010. Suzuki have named this new vehicle the Kizashi; that's loosely-translated from Japanese into automotive lingo for "watch this space", suggesting further mid-segment models from the firm are yet to come.
But while moving upmarket from the present line-up of smaller segment vehicles and SUVs, Suzuki is wanting the new sedan to be a global, design-oriented vehicle, perhaps following in the footsteps of the production model Splash and the Swift, the platform on which the Splash is based.
The new Splash, described by Suzuki as having been styled specifically for the European market, will star alongside the Kizashi concept. Also on the stand will be the Swift, Grand Vitara SUV and SX4 hatchback, all of which are entirely new models showcasing Suzuki's ‘Way of Life!’-philosophy. We eagerly await to see how this philosophy will transfer to the Kizashi; you'd better "watch this space" to find out.
