Bestcar, japanese car magazine also reported Toyota is thinking use impreza's platform for this project. AWD chasis but they they can use as rear drive chasis. I hope they aslo keep amazing h-4 engine instead of using lame Toyota's I-4

They need to add either a supercharged or turbochared model as well. No question about it. Like you said volrum Toyota does not have anything intersting or exciting in there line up anymore. They did away with the Celica which they didnt even make an "All Trac" version like in the past. If they did this or something similar to this they would have selled more models and the legacy if the Celica wouldn't have died. They need to make more exciting and more powerfull cars. I am hoping that with them now having interst in Subaru that they will make more exciting and and exciting cars.

I think it's about time toyota get back into preformance. The idea of a front engine/rear drive modern sport compact is an exciting one, maybe if we are lucky it will get honda to attempt to one up it in the form of a new crx... Regardless, i think Toyota should expland this idea and get it into production ASAP, they can make some serious cash if they bank on thier racing heritage too.

really good car but I prefere it whit more engine like 2 Lt or 200 bhp RWD whit limited slip diferential or even the gearbox in the back, that could be intresting

The whole idea behind a small performance car is the whole idea behind Lotus. It works well without having to stuff a large engine in the bay. Personally I like the idea of a small rwd coupe with a smallish engine. Toyota is on the verge of falling into the pit of boring cars, much like Nissan did in the late 90's. Hopefully they make a turnaround and make exciting to drive and look at cars again like Nissan did.

this car is gonna be awsome, but they need to up the hp's. I think they should keep the original bore of 87mm and elongate the stroke to 87mm and that would be about a 1.7L in the square style that all the honda k series are doing. I also hope that come prodution time the car will look better. they better keep it a i-4!!!
