Based on Porsche 911 Turbo
The Porsche 911 Turbo is hot stuff for any car enthusiast, resulting in tuning companies like Sportec to push the limit and increase appeal even further on the sports car. In this case, besides exclusive 19 inch rims and a suspension kit which lowers the car by some 20mm, Sportec has bolted on some of their trademark turbochargers, added a high performance exhaust system with sport catalyst, sport clutch and reprogrammed the ECU software. All this results in the following: 100 additional horsepower totalling at 580hp, torque increase to 765Nm (from 620Nm), a top speed of 338kh/h and a reported 1-100km/h time of 3,4 seconds. The interior receives its fair share of extras too with aluminum pedals and footrest and an optional Alcantara upholstery. The SP580 kit is priced at just over 21,000 Euro.Press Release (Click to expand)
With the new Porsche Turbo, Sportec has taken a racer under its wing which is already in its standard version a quite agile machine. The engine, exhaust and chassis components newly tuned by Sportec quicken the Porsche in a way to allow a peak speed of 338 km/h while the gained performance excites the appetite to literally devour the tarmac during spontaneous bursts of speed.
The 3.6 l engine – already ex works a quite powerful one – produces in its standard version 480hp and a torque of 620Nm. Thanks to its turbo technology, the powertrain offers the ideal possibilities to elicit a steady performance peak from the Porsche by means of software modifications. Thus, after having been remodelled by Sportec, the Turbo comes up with such remarkable values as 580hp and 765Nm catapulting the car to 338 km/h. With respect to the sprint from 0 to 100, Sportec indicates some brief 3.4 seconds – almost 0.5 second faster than the serial brother.
Take a look at these figures, and you get an idea of why, to any enthusiastic driver, a trip to the renowned Swiss tuner Sportec is equal to a pilgrimage. The price of 35,003 CHF (21,067.50 Euros), includes new Sportec Turbochargers, a Sportec high-performance exhaust system with sport catalysts, sound baffles with control and 70 mm tailpipes, Sports air filter and a sports clutch.
In order to assure that such powers find their way safely to the tarmac, Sportec offers the exclusive aluminium wheels Mono 10 in the size from 9,5 x 19 up to 12 x 20 inch with 235/35ZR19 or 325/25ZR20 Pneus. Uncompromisingly sporty driving characteristics as well as lesser sidewise inclination are assured by the special springs with a lowering by approx. 20 mm, incl. vehicles with PASM. This will not only improve the dynamics during high speed cornering, but also the visual dynamics.
The finishing touch is added by the aluminium pedals and footrest and the optional Alcantara interior equipment.
