What is the interest of such a car ? or what is the interest of having 2 SUV at BMW? so the good question is what is the interest of the X5 ?

id say comparing the x5/x6 is like comparing the mercedes e-class/cls-class, although the cls and the e are sedans not suvs. mercedes has 3 sedans besides the cls but all of them still sell well. bmw already has two suvs and this third one will probably be priced strategically enough not to affect the sales of the x5.

It seems BMW is spending a great deal of time and money on a chopped X5. The X6 doesn't look sleek or elegant. Yes, the huge wheels look "sporty," but the vehicle's probabl girth would limit targeted owners from actually putting such a vehicle though sporting paces. I'd prefer that BMW's time and money be spent on re-designing the 5-series, then bringing the turbodiesel-equipped new model to the states. THAT would be progress.

IF BMW WAS SMART THEY WOULD BUILD A FULL SIZE SUV INSTEAD OF ANOTHER MIDSIZE SUV. IF YOU ARE EXPANDING YOUR PRODUCT LINE ISN'T THE POINT TO ATTRACT NEW BUYERS? THE X6 IS TARGETING THE EXACT SAME BUYER THAT THE X5 IS. IT IS JUST A LESS USEFUL X5. IT'S BUBBLE SHAPE IS NOT SPORTY. MAKING A COUPELIKE ROOFLINE ON A SEDAN MAKES SENSE BECAUSE SEDANS ARE PEOPLE CARRIERS. I AM SORRY BUT THIS DESIGN SEEMS TO BE VERY ILL-CONCIEVED
