In true British tabloid fashion, Car Online shows perfect execution in how to milk a story until its bone dry. I can hear the cows now, off on the British countryside mooing their hearts out in total envy. Nonetheless, a story - is a story and there is no denying they're a bunch of good ones. After the Audi A1 and R8 Spider design sketch leaks of the past few days, Car Online presents us with their last sketch installment, the Audi A7, which apparently, was exclusively given to them by Audi Execs.
The Mercedes CLS 4-door coupe design seems to be the latest obsession amongst car designers and now Audi, quick to follow in their footsteps is wasting no more time. Set to debut early next year in concept form, the A7 is not expected to make its market debut until 2009. To start, the A7 will be available in 3.0 V6 and 4.2 V8 petrol and diesel engines and then non-aspirated Lambo V10 in the S7 and bi-turbo V10 in the RS7, according to Car Online.
The Audi A7 will use a variation of Audi's new MLP (Modular Long Platform) inner structure which was first seen in the A5 and will be used in the next generation A4, A6, A8 in addition to the all new Q5 SAV. Car Online states a price of GBP 35,000 - 50,000 (50,000 - 75,000 EUR) with the possibility of a soft-stop version.
