Paulin Motor Company, a Swedish automotive design agency founded by former Ford designer Daniel Paulin, has produced its vision of a future sportscar, the VR Concept. The VR concept, visioned for 2012, offers "sculptured surfaces and clean graphics" and gives a look into which direction the future of automotive design is heading. The VR concept is the "beginning of a line-up of future vehicles", where the design is "all about simplicity and functionality in true Scandinavian fashion," says Paulin. He points out that "the quality has reached a level where many design decisions can be made with out the need of physical prototypes." Paulin's previous work include the exterior design for the Ford Focus C-Max in 2003, the Ford Focus concept in 2004 and the FAB1 six-wheeler from the Thunderbirds movie. Major car manufacturers, such as Hyundai, Kia, Volvo Trucks and Iveco are among Paulin's customers.
