Compact minivan debut in 2008
Here are for the first time prototype shots of the next generation Opel / Vauxhall Meriva. The front-wheel-drive minivan has been on the market since 2003. It received a facelift in spring 2006, and now an all new successor is set to be released in 2008.
Despite the prototype's disguise, the photos are already revealing the same design language already seen in the newest Opel models, especially its bigger minivan brother, Zafira, which came on the market in 2005.
Expect the newcomer's petrol engines to range again from 1.4 to 1.8 litre plus a 180 HP 1.6 liter turbo OPC model for the sportiest version in addition to two diesels with 1.3 and 1.6 liters.
