Laguna Station Wagon and Sedan
The French car maker, Renault, is about to release the third generation Laguna model which will make its' first public appearance at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show this fall. The very first five door Laguna sedan came on the market back in 1993 and the second generation followed in the year 2000. Now the new model has been developed under the code name X 91, and here are the very latest spy photos showing both the sedan and the station wagon with just a few strips of tape for disguise. Laguna 3 is an all new vehicle and Renault is putting priority on making improvements to build-quality. Therefore prototypes are being tested around the globe with sightings in Sweden, Australia, Singapore and France. While the quality of the current model has decreased considerably, Renault consequently lost customers in this market segment which is occupied by heavy-weights such as the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes C-Class ,VW-Passat and new Ford Mondeo. The new Laguna will measure 10cm more in overall length than its predecessor, and it will be powered by fuel and diesel engines ranging from 115 to 260 HP. It will cost from 20,900 Euros upwards, the wagon is estimated to cost 1000,00 Euros more. Upon the debut in Frankfurt, Renault will start with the sedan only. The station wagon will follow a few months later, and a coupe version is foreseen with an even longer delay.Related Articles
