Global debut
Livina from Dongfeng Nissan, the country's first "anytime versatile" sedan in the true sense of the term, is unveiled at the 12th International Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition April 20. The car is now available for orders. Ren Yong, Vice President of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Deputy Managing Director of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company announced the price range of the all-new Livina starting from RMB 79,800 to RMB 103,800. Nissan Livina, a product of strategic importance for Dongfeng Nissan to further develop its product portfolio, makes it global debut in China. Livina is tailor-made for those young urban professionals who enjoy their private live while managing business responsibilities. The term "anytime versatile" is used to describe a perfect hybrid of family car and versatile business car. Incorporating comfort and utility - merits of family cars - into extra-large space and safety, which are virtues of multipurpose vehicles, the sedan caters to a wide-range of demands for the urban professionals who work hard on weekdays and enjoy life with their families on weekends. The new Livina will define new standards within the passenger car sedan segment and mark a milestone in Dongfeng Nissan's strategy to enrich and diversify their model line-up. Livina, is 4178 mm-long, 1690 mm-wide, and 1565 mm-high and sits on a 2600 mm wheelbase, making it surprisingly distinct compared with most family cars that are often less than 4000 mm long and have wheelbases shorter than 2500 mm. Additionally, extra-spacious luggage compartment, roomy interior space, headroom, and seat height make it convenient for passengers to get in and out of the car, and higher back door opening angles further increase the ease of using the spacious cargo area. For power performance, Livina is equipped with the HR16 all-aluminum-alloy DOHC engine matched to either a 5MT or 4AT transmission, with a maximum torque of 150N/m. The car is economical with low fuel consumption at 6.3L for 100km while running at 90km/h, and it complies with Euro IV Exhaust Emission Regulation standards. Livina does not fit into any traditional car segment as it blends multiple vehicle functions into one vehicle. Livina does not fit into either the three-compartment or two-compartment vehicle categories, nor can it be defined as a "family-use" or "business-use" type of vehicle. It is one vehicle that combines the best features that customers want. Livina's essential value is its versatility at any time. Livina represents a competitive edge for Dongfeng Nissan and its unchallenged leadership. Dongfeng Nissan is confident that this "anytime versatile" sedan will successfully contribute to the development of the Chinese family car market segment. Ren Yong, Vice President of Dongfeng Motor and Deputy Managing Director of Dongfeng Nissan, said, "Livina, as a strategically important model, has redefined the concept of family car and business car. We believe it will become a part of Chinese customers' lifestyles." Livina bears strategic implication it expands the price range of models offered by Dongfeng Nissan.and to enlarge its customer base.Related Articles
