Cold weather testing

The Tesla Roadster is no new prototype, but it's interesting that even Tesla Motors are doing a hard winter test with the Roadster. Two prototypes were kept over a period of two months in the area undergoing all sorts of testing. The cars were sighted on frozen lakes as well as on icy roads and overnight freezing on parking lots. The Tesla Roadster is a high-performance electric sports car, and it is fun to see that they take their car very seriously, preparing it for use in all weather conditions and temperatures. It must not be easy to make batteries that will last long in the cold. The same stands for developing electric engines that have to be not only fast (0-100 km/h in 4 sec) but at the same time very power sufficient so the car will also start on a cold morning near the Arctic Circle.
