October launch
The French PSA is preparing the launch of the new Peugeot 308 for October this year. First a five- and three door hatchback model will come on the market, a year later a station wagon will follow, and even later Peugeot will introduce a coupe - convertible 308. The all-new 308 model range is to replace the current Peugeot 307, which underwent its latest restyling in summer 2005. Power is expected to come from a 2,2 four cylinder Turbodiesel engine delivering 170 HP as well as from the new 1,6 litre fuel injected engine generation delivering between 75 and 170 HP. It was developed in co-operation with BMW. A particularly sporty RC version performing 210 HP is to follow some time later.
