Ready for Launch
BMW continues to extend its smallest model range, the 1 Series. Having just launched the 1 Series as three door version, here are now latest pictures of the future coupe variant caught during a test drive in the streets of Munich. The prototypes still have some disguise, but the first photo (red car) is showing the car in full showroom trim with some cladding removed by computer. The 1 Series Coupe is due for launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall. A 1 Series convertible on the same platform will then follow in 2008 to complete the line up. It will have a conventional canvas top. Even further in the future a top of the line M version could be possible. With both, the new coupe and the future convertible, BMW is going to also enter the US market for the first time.Related Articles
