2007 Return for Dramatic New Mondeo
The dramatic all-new German-engineered Mondeo, Ford of Europe's most technically advanced car ever and the first production version of Ford's kinetic design styling, is to make a timely return to Australia when it goes on sale later this year.
"The new Ford Mondeo is a smart eye-catching car that offers a huge array of sensational features and thoughtful attributes," said President of Ford Australia, Tom Gorman. "Mondeo is an intuitive car that will cater to all levels of driver involvement thanks to its superb driving dynamics and appealing variety of transmission and powertrain options."
Depending on the model selected, Mondeo will be available in sedan or hatch bodystyles, with manual or automatic transmissions and one of three different trim levels.
"There are also three different engines which make up the range and I'm excited to confirm one of them is a sophisticated new 2.0-litre turbo-diesel," said Mr Gorman. "This particular diesel engine is an excellent opportunity for Mondeo customers to experience exceptional fuel efficiency, as well as the inherent performance benefits of diesel power."
Ford's distinctive and dynamic kinetic design styling language, expressing energy in motion, creates a sleek and dynamic profile and delivers a design presence that signals power and grace.
"Mondeo is an eye-catching design which dares to be different, yet achieves a level of sophistication and poise usually expected in a more expensive vehicle," said Mr Gorman. "Premium quality materials, exemplary driving dynamics and an extensive feature list are all hallmarks of the smart new German engineered Mondeo, which will introduce new levels of refinement, comfort and safety to the segment. The new Mondeo will bring prospective buyers to Ford showrooms and create a whole new wave of Mondeo enthusiasts."
Further details, including full model line-up and pricing, will be announced closer to the launch late in 2007.
