Debut at Geneva
Jaguar is preparing a restyling of the company’s luxury model XJ. These photos are allowing a closer look at a prototype on a test drive near the Jaguar factory.
It is featuring a new front- and rearend and a lightly remodelled interior. With the facelift Jaguar hopes to get sales of its flagship back up again. Due to the current model’s old fashioned styling it is not really a best seller at this time.
Based on the photos, one can already guess the styling of the new front grille which is said to adapt the design of the upcoming new Jaguar S-Type replacement XF. The prototype also shows that the next XJ gets air intakes on the sides like the Range Rover or the Portfolio XJ. The XJ restyling could be scheduled for release at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2007.
The photos are showing a prototype and a computer image.
