Skoda maintains commitment to motorsport and rallying
- Rally car based on next generation Fabia to be developed
- Newcomer will compete in competitive S2000 category
Škoda has a rich heritage in motorsport - rallying in particular. This legacy is going to continue with the development of a new competition car based on the next generation Fabia, due to be launched next year.
Škoda’s technical development engineers will use 2007 to develop and test the new Škoda rally car for the S2000 category, which is likely to become the most attractive and competitive class in the sport.
Designed to be affordable for both private teams and new young drivers at national levels, the exciting Fabia S2000 will offer superb performance at a reasonable price for anyone brave enough to tackle the planet’s most exhilarating motorsport.
Škoda, one of the world’s oldest car companies, has been making cars for over 100 years.
