Renowned New York area designer redefines the concept of chauffer driven personalized luxury
The AI Design Mobile Living Space (MLS) is the ultimate personalized expression of a chauffer driven vehicle. Based on a 155-inch extended full-sized Chevrolet cargo van equipped with the 6.0 liter 8-cylinder engine and Quigley 4-wheel drive system, the MLS is transformed by the craftsmen at AI Design to incorporate client-selected comforts found only in the finest luxury homes. Headroom is increased by whopping 12-inches over the standard van via the installation of an aerodynamic fiberglass roof extension that also incorporates a mobile satellite TV antenna. The exterior is then given a monochromatic paint scheme, which is applied to the side-view mirrors, bumpers, door handles, and grill fascia. A durable powder-coated stainless steel grill completes the distinctive appearance package.
Entering the MLS is safe and easy thanks to an inviting motorized and illuminated entry step found at the van’s ultra-wide barn doors. One of the most noticeable aspects of the MLS interior is the reclining, hand upholstered Edelman leather seating. Built on a cold-rolled raw steel frame, the swooped, asymmetrical seating has been carefully engineered to provide the height and depth required for maximum comfort. The sofa section has been under-cut and illuminated to highlight another focal point of the MLS design, a laser engraved exotic hardwood floor. Other amenities include a 32-inch LCD video monitor, aircraft lighting, and an integrated home style wine cooler. Noticeably absent from the interior of the MLS is a clumsy and confusing bank of switches! Virtually all of the MLS luxuries are controlled centrally from an automated touch panel, highlighting ease of operation and reliability as two additional MLS standout features.
The audio and video systems incorporate absolutely state-of-the art components for virtually life-like reproduction of both music and video programming. The MLS has been equipped with an equally robust charging a system, including 2000 watts of AC power and tour-bus style dry cell batteries all meticulously routed through an easily accessible auxiliary fuse panel. Extensive sound-deadening treatment assures that MLS occupants always ride in quiet comfort.
The MLS personalized transportation vehicle is now available exclusively from AI Design.
