Standard Carminat Navigation
The new special edition of Espace Carminat is the latest to enrich the Espace range. It is aimed at customers seeking useful equipment features at particularly attractive prices, which offer up to a 5.3% customer advantage. Features include the Carminat navigation and communication system, cruise control and speed limiter, automatically activated headlights, rain sensor, and roof rack as standard. The Espace Carminat offer applies to diesel-powered versions only. Highly competitive, it is designed to further bolster Espace sales, particularly to businesses.
For sheer performance and driving pleasure the 2.0dCi leads the way. It is now available at entry level delivering output of 130hp, as well as 150hp without particulate filter. Very economical and reliable, it brings undeniable driving pleasure to the whole Espace range, while remaining the benchmark in its segment. The 2.2dCi has also evolved to comply with the Euro4 standard and feature a particulate filter. Driving through a proactive automatic five-speed gearbox, its power is limited to 140hp.
Wealth of Upgrades for Efficient Technology
Based on the Expression version, Espace Carminat boasts the following equipment as standard: Carminat navigation and communication system, cruise control and speed limiter, automatically activated windscreen wiper and headlamps, and roof rack. For an extra €1,200 it offer an effective customer advantage of €2,030.
The Carminat navigation and communication system is the market benchmark, popular with customers and acclaimed by the media. It boasts GPS navigation, 7-inch panoramic screen, Bluetooth® telephone controls, and six-CD drive with MP3 playback. It can be controlled using the convenient steering wheelmounted joystick or the voice recognition function.
The Carminat navigation and communication system is the best currently available. When journey settings have been programmed it boasts response times that never exceed five seconds. On a single DVD it stores maps of 28 countries and provides numerous features like automatic zoom on change of direction, lifelike depictions of road and traffic signs, a choice of three routes and automatically computed distances and times of arrival, points of interest, and a dynamic 3D map.
Driving Pleasure and Economical Solutions
Espace Carminat comes powered by diesel engines only. They have been upgraded and boast some of the lowest running costs on the market. Already a leader in terms of performance, driving pleasure, and low noise levels, the 2.0dCi engine is now available at entry level in a 130hp version, which offers 320Nm of torque from 2000rpm for combined fuel cycle of 7.2 litres per 100km. (It belongs to CO2 emission class E, with emission levels of 191grammes per kilometre). At the core of the range is the 150hp 2.0dCi with or without particulate filter and the 2.2dCi, driving through a proactive automatic five-speed gearbox. Comply with the Euro4 standard, its power is limited to 140hp and feature a particulate filter.
A Very Competitive Offer
Espace Carminat is available from €35,750 to €40,050 depending on the engine, all of which are Euro4-compliant. They are the 130hp 2.0dci, 150hp 2.0dCi with or without particulate filter, and the automatic 140hp 2.2dCi with particulate filter. Grand Espace Carminat is sold for an additional €1200.
A Comprehensive, Dynamic Espace range
The Espace line-up was extensively reworked in the spring of 2006 and offers high-performance features. Authentique, Expression, Privilège and Initiale have been further enriched by two special series with distinct temperaments and equipment levels: Alyum Plus, unveiled at the last Paris Motor Show, and Carminat.
The Espace line-up now boasts petrol and diesel engines, all of which comply with the Euro4 standard. The new 130hp and 150hp 2.0dCi without particulate filter and the automatic transmission 140hp 2.2dCi with particulate filter. Available from €29,400 for the 140hp 16v 2.0 Authentique version to €52,850 for the long version of the six-speed automatic 180hp 3.0dCi V6, Espace has all the right arguments for strengthening its market leadership.
