Press Release
Nissan Australia is pleased to announce the arrival of its compact sports concept vehicle – the Foria – to the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney. Also at the show, Nissan will unveil two new variants to its range – the new Murano Ti-L and the X-Trail ST-S X-TREME special edition.
Making its Australian debut, the Foria is a functional, yet impressive looking true 2+2 sports coupe. With an elegant design and sporting lines, the Foria features centre-opening pillarless doors and short overhangs. Built with dynamic performance in mind, the concept coupe has a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, paddle-shift automatic transmission and four-wheel Active Steer system.
Nissan’s all-wheel drive crossover vehicle, the Murano, gains a new range-topping variant at the Sydney show. The Murano Ti-L adds the latest generation satellite navigation system to the already impressive standard features of the Murano range. A reversing camera linked to the navigation system ensures parking and reversing maneuvers are completed safely. Recommended retail price for the Murano Ti-L is $60,490*.
Nissan’s popular X-TRAIL range also receives a new variant at the show. The X-Trail ST-S X-TREME is based on the current ST – which features a lively 2.5-litre engine and Nissan’s acclaimed ALLMODE 4X4system - and adds alloy wheels, electric sunroof, bonnet protector, rear sunguard, roof bars and new tail lights. The X-Trail ST-S X-TREME represents great value at $31,990 (manual) driveaway.
These two new variants will be joined on the stand by Nissan’s legendary four-wheel drive range, including the new luxury Patrol Ti 3.0-litre turbo diesel wagon, the seven-seat Pathfinder and the popular Navara. Passenger vehicles on display include the 350Z sports coupe and roadster, Maxima sedan and the Tiida sedan and hatch.
In addition to the array of exciting products, Nissan will reveal its all-new exhibition display at the Sydney show. With features drawn from the company’s international displays at Detroit, Tokyo and Paris, the new stand will captivate audiences with highlights such as a spectacular media cloud conveying messages and images and twelve plasma screens displaying design and performance stories.
Nissan’s stand is located in Hall 3 - Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Sydney International Motor Show runs from October 26th through to November 5th.
Recommended retail price – excludes dealer delivery and on-roads costs.
