President of Czech Republic Receives Skoda Superb
Mr. Václav Klaus. President of the Czech Republic, received a new Škoda Superb today at Prague Castle. The black metallic limousine has been provided to the head of the state by Škoda Auto a.s. within the scope of presidential fleet renovation. Having received his first Superb in December 2003, the President has confirmed his satisfaction with the vehicle by today's replacement. The Prague Castle Management Office has altogether thirteen Škoda Superb vehicles to meet the travel requirements of the President of the Country's Office, as well as its own needs.
Handing over the car, Mr. Martin Jahn, Škoda Board member said: „We are very honoured that our Superb model joined the Czech President’s car fleet. In my opinion, there should be a car of a Czech brand and made in Czechia at the Prague Castle, and I am confident that our product will exceed expectations providing the best comfort in any ceremonial occasion.“
The Škoda Superb to be used by the President of the Czech Republic has the six-cylinder petrol engine V6 2.8 30V (142 kW) and the Tiptronic five-speed automatic transmission. The specifications are based on the Elegance serial equipment level, except that they have been extended with a number of extras, such as special holders for presidential banners mounted onto both sides of the black limousine's front, black-leather-upholstered seats, a sunroof and a rear-window sun-visor for enhanced back-seat comfort, an integrated navigation system making it possible to receive TV signal, a digital sound system, a telephone, a transmitter and a flashing beacon with a siren. On top of that, the President's vehicle has all available active and passive safety elements.
