Streamline of a teardrop
Taking advantage of its wealth of technologies, Daihatsu, a compactcar specialist, has materialized its dreams into the model Copen ZZ. To convey our message that this model goes beyond any ordinary goal, and that this car is the fruit of our endless commitment to a car with ultimate attractiveness and performance, we added the suffix of ZZ to the model name. Mounted in its compact body is a 1.5-litre engine. Design emphasis has been placed on styling that has magnetic presence, as well as supreme performance that offers a driving experience yet to be known.
The basic styling concept for the Copen ZZ is the streamline of a teardrop. Its smooth and flowing bodyline and its small but stately body show the dynamism and power of this compact car. By installing Recaro seats upholstered with genuine leather and a leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel designed exclusively for this model, Daihatsu maximized the sporty appearance of the Copen ZZ.
The 1.5-litre, in-line four-cylinder gasoline engine of the Copen ZZ generates a maximum output of 77/6000 kW/rpm, and maximum torque of 140/4400N·m/rpm. Thanks to the superior power-weight ratio achievable only by lightweight body, Copen ZZ enables drivers to enjoy sporty driving. The high-performance 205/40R16 tyres support the body, and a four-wheel disc brake system has been adopted in response to the increased engine output.
