Logan goes west
Readers from the European continent can regard these photos as the first ones to reveal a minor facelift for the Dacia Logan, incorporating a new grille and front bumper as well as a modified boot lid now featuring a mini-spoiler on its upper edge and re-designed taillights.
And though it is the same car, readers from the U.K. and Ireland can look forward to the introduction of the cheapest Renault ever, because the French have decided to start exporting the Logan to the British islands.
However, as a right-hand-drive model the Logan will be badged as a Renault rather than a Dacia. In any case, delivery of the new model will start in early 2007 and all current engines will be taken over for the new model: buyers will have the choice between a 1.4-litre four-cylinder developing 75 bhp and two 1.6-litre units developing 90 and 107 bhp respectively. Renault’s 1.5-litre dCi common rail turbodiesel with 68 bhp will be on offer again, too.
