Here are photos of a first prototype for Volvo’s upcoming all new model range V 70 – XC 70. The single test car was caught on photo during secret testing in a remote area of southern Europe. Despite the heavy disguise, the front grille can be distinguished in some ways.
Due to its rather rustic looks, it can be guess that this is the future new off road version, the XC 70. Its grounds clearance is said to be 3 cm higher than the standard V 70. From the prototype shots, it looks like the XC 70 carries many of the new S80 styling elements.
According to sources from Sweden, both cars are for release at next year’ s Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale in autumn 2007 for the model year 2008.
