Mazda to Replace Mazda 2
The little compact five door five seater Mazda 2 came on the market in 2002 as a replacement for the Demio.
It is based on the Ford Fiesta and got a facelift in 2005. Engines are mounted transversely, and the car is front driven. Now the Japanese car maker is apparently preparing an all new successor.
Here are the first photos showing a prototype during a test drive in Germany. The pictured prototype has still some black tape concealing the major styling changes at front- and rear end.
