Freshened front and interior
Starting on Monday, August 14, 2006, Škoda Auto's plant in Kvasiny is going to produce the Škoda Superb as modernised for the Model Year 2007 (MY2007). Offering enormously large interior space and equipped generously with a number of luxury-class items, the design of the four-door sedan Škoda Superb MY 2007 also includes numerous innovations and technical changes.
The most striking change that has been made to the outside design of the new Superb is a new radiator grill that is shaped to make its 3D design stand out and is set in a chrome-plated frame. As a completely new element, additional blinkers have been integrated into the vehicle's wing mirrors. Integrated in headlamps with clear glass covers, the front blinkers have been redesigned, too. Just like on the Roomster and the Octavia, the tail lights are C-shaped to give the vehicle's back a distinct character. On top of that, customers can choose from four brand new body colours: beige Cappuccino, green Olive, grey Anthracite and grey Satin (from November 2006).
The Superb MY 2007 also has a redesigned interior and a new dashboard configuration. The dashboard instruments are backlit with very gentle white light while their backgrounds, descriptions including numbers and the multi-function display are red, which is another innovation.
The existing equipment level portfolio (Classic, Comfort and Elegance) has been extended with Laurin & Klement, a new top equipment class that includes 17´´ polished-surface wheels, a double exhaust tip, gentle marks on the front bumpers , and more. The vehicle's interior includes leather-upholstered seats (Royalty), genuine-wood panelling (Prominent), sleek metal-finished frames on ventilation blowers and door handles (Etna Nero), etc. The standard equipment of this particular model includes a number of other attractive elements, too.
The Škoda Superb MY 2007 is available with four petrol and four diesel engines, with performance levels ranging from 85 kW to 142 kW (petrol engines) and from 77 kW to 120 kW, respectively (turbo diesel engines). The six-cylinder petrol engine 2.8 l and the turbo diesel V6 2,5 TDI are the absolute top, the four-cylinder 2.0 TDI PD (103 kW) that is offered with a diesel particulate filter as standard equipment is definitely an attractive offer, too.
