Powerful Diesel Tuning and Exclusive Accessories
Exclusive accessories for body, suspension and interior. Powerful diesel tuning with 262 hp / 193 kW instead of standard 218 hp / 160 kW and an increase in peak torque from 510 to 580 Nm: STARTECH (www.startech.de) offers an extensive accessories program for all model versions of the American SUV.
For the body of the Jeep the STARTECH designers have developed components that give the 4x4 an even more striking appearance. The front of the refined Commander is upgraded by three new components. The STARTECH front apron in combination with the add-on element for the front bumper lends the SUV lends the SUV an even more powerful look. In addition STARTECH refines the characteristic Jeep front grille design with three vertical rods of chromed stainless steel for the seven air inlets of the grille.
The STARTECH rocker panels blend in perfectly with the overall appearance. But that's not all: The STARTECH panels feature integrated LED lights that are activated with the standard keyless-entry remote or by pulling on the door handles. The illumination of the ground on either side of the vehicle makes entering and exiting the vehicles safer in the dark. The STARTECH chrome moldings for the exterior mirrors make the largest Jeep model even more exclusive.
The STARTECH rear apron is more than just a visual upgrade for the rear of the Commander. The body part also features a cover for the removable trailer hitch and two cutouts for the oval tailpipes of the STARTECH sport exhaust system. There is also a version that fits the production exhaust.
An important contribution to the exclusive looks of a STARTECH-refined Jeep Commander comes from the STARTECH Monostar IV light-alloy wheels. The 9Jx20 five-spoke wheels are shod with tires in size 265/45 R 20.
In addition the ride height of the American SUV can be lowered by some 30 millimeters with STARTECH springs. The lowered center of gravity gives the SUV more agile handling and further improves driving safety. A high-performance brake system is currently in development.
The STARTECH SD6 performance kit consists of a processor-based auxiliary control unit that can be installed by any authorized Chrysler/Jeep dealer in less than 30 minutes, thanks to the included wire harness and installation instructions.
Maximum power output of the 3.0-liter V6 common-rail turbodiesel engine increases from 218 hp / 160 kW to 262 hp / 193 kW at 4,000 rpm. Even more important for everyday driving on the road and for tough off-road use is the increase in torque from standard 510 Nm to 580 Nm, available between 1,600 and 2,600 rpm.
These impressive engine performance figures benefit the driving performance of the Jeep Commander 3.0 CRD: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h is shortened from 9.0 seconds for the production car to 8.5 seconds for the SUV with STARTECH SD6 tuning. Top speed increases from 191 to 200 km/h.
To round out the performance measures STARTECH recommends the installation of the STARTECH stainless-steel sport exhaust system with one characteristic oval STARTECH chrome tailpipe left and right.
STARTECH also leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to customizing the interior: Exclusive accessories such as stainless-steel door sills with illuminated STARTECH logo are part of the product lineup as is an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel made from a combination of leather and walnut burl.
With utmost perfection the STARTECH upholstery shop transforms the finest Mastik leather and Alcantara into exclusive fully leather interiors in any desired color.
