Imagine the surprise Benjamin Hong felt when he spotted the soon to be released 2007 Honda CR-V in his rear view mirror as he was driving in downtown Vancouver, Canada. And then he saw another! And yet another! Hong grabbed his trusted cell phone-camera and managed to snap a few pictures before the convoy of Hondas disappeared. And, remarkably, got exceptional pictures with the little phone. It's not our recommended piece of shooting equipment, but it sure worked in this case. And we're pleased to be able to showcase Benjamin's efforts here.
The 2007 CR-V won't officially reach dealerships until mid-October, and we know its now riding on a new platform which it shares with the U.S. version Civic and Acura's RD-X. It should also have a bit more power than the outgoing model - around 170 horsepower. A hybrid version may be available for the 2008 model year.
