Exhibit V celebrates the return of the British International Motor Show to London
London's thriving art scene is set to become more mobile this summer thanks to a unique celebration of Art called Exhibit V. Vauxhall Motors has teamed up with Totally London and Magic 105.4 FM to bring to life the work of five great artists in this exciting new project.
The Exhibition is a celebration of London, saluting the return of the British International Motor Show to the city for the first time in 30 years and the worldwide premiere of the new Corsa, a favourite car with young Brits. Exhibit V will be launched on Tuesday 20th June at Trafalgar Square, before moving to five key landmarks from 25th – 30th June.
Exhibit V is an exhibition of new art installations featuring five Vauxhall cars which have been treated to the artists’ very different interpretations of the metropolis. The five car designs demonstrate the diversity and constantly changing face of London.
The artists participating in Exhibit V and the landmarks where their work can be seen are:
- Alexander de Cadenet - Vauxhall Astra TwinTop at the Royal Exchange
- Duggie Fields – Vauxhall Tigra at The Zoo
- Logan – Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch at Kensington Gardens in Hyde Park
- Rosemary Masson – Vauxhall Zafira at Eurostar Terminal, Waterloo
- Stuart McClymont - Vauxhall Signum at Covent Garden
Magic 105.4 FM is supporting Exhibit V by running a competition that can only be won by a true Londoner. Starting on the 20th June listeners must answer questions about to successfully open one of 16 boxes in the hope of winning the new Vauxhall Corsa.
Visit is also backing Exhibit V. James Bidwell, Chief Executive said: “Vauxhall's Exhibit V is yet another cutting edge initiative for London. The project will highlight the return of the British International Motor Show - the most successful consumer exhibition in the UK - to London after thirty years in the Midlands. The energy and excitement of the Motor Show, as reflected in the Exhibit V project, is of great importance to London. Visit London is delighted to launch Exhibit V with our partners Vauxhall and Magic 105.4 FM and we look forward to London's first incredibly successful British International Motor Show at ExCeL London in July.”
Exhibit V will have an unmissable presence in from 20th June to July 30th. In collaboration with Visit London, not only will the Vauxhalls be on display in key landmarks, but they will participate in ’s first official car parade celebrating one hundred years of the motor vehicle on 16th July and be on display at ExCel for the duration of the London Motor Show.
