Fiat Palio: 2 Millionth Produced

The two millionth Palio has been produced in the Fiat Automòveis factory at Betim (Brazil). It is a Palio ELX 1.4 and belongs to the special “30 year” series with which the Group is celebrating the three decades of life of the Brazilian plant.
This is an important achievement for a model that began to gain world public and critical acclaim right from its launch. The result of the modernity of the 178 design which brought new standards to the segment and made it a benchmark for safety, performance, styling, quality, equipment and advantageous price/content ratio.
The Fiat Palio is manufactured in five countries – Brazil (where it was launched), India, China, Turkey and South Africa – and it is marketed in numerous other countries on four continents, including Rumania, Croatia, Morocco, Russia, Vietnam, India, Egypt and China.
It should also be pointed out that it is the entire 178 family - Fiat Palio, Palio Weekend, Siena and Strada – that has enjoyed international success as is demonstrated by the almost 3 and a half million units sold all over the world.
