Driver Training for OPC Owners

  • Learn from a driving expert: Manuel Reuter is the exclusive partner

The philosophy behind OPC (Opel Performance Center) is easy to explain:
high-performance vehicles bearing these three letters offer the same functionality and convenience that all Opel models possess, but they are also true sports cars. With exciting design, state-of-the-art technology and top-class performance, OPC vehicles emphasize the passion and sportiness of the Opel brand.

Customers who buy these cars are performance-oriented and expect the best. Beginning in September 2006, Opel will offer OPC owners a special one-day driver training at the Opel Test Center in Dudenhofen, near Frankfurt. The track is otherwise off-limits to the public, as it is used for putting experimental vehicles and prototypes through test cycles and preparing future models for production.

The training event is also exclusive in terms of its organization: coordination is in the prominent and highly professional hands of Manuel Reuter, winner of two LeMans races and former Opel works driver who participated in the ITC championship and over 200 DTM races. Reuter – who now runs his own agency “Driving Performance by Manuel Reuter – and his team of instructors will be there to personally train the participating drivers.

The training elements, which are designed to perfect the interaction between man and machine, are “above all about driving fun, sportiness and control of the vehicle at its very limits, says Manuel Reuter, who was recognized during his DTM participation for his technically perfect driving style. “Anyone who buys an OPC model should understand, use and master the extraordinary potential of the vehicle to get as much fun out of it as possible. We want to give drivers an unforgettable driving experience.
