Maserati Quattroporte Coupe Spy Photos
Rear doors are fake
The Italian car maker Maserati is preparing a coupe version of the Maserati Quattroporte, which has been on the market since 2003.
The pictures are showing a prototype during high speed testing at Nürburgring. It is in fact made to confuse the onlooker, because this Quattroporte will in reality have only two doors. On the prototype the second side doors are fake, also the body has some plastic parts for disguise.
The launch of the new Coupe is scheduled for next year, also a convertible is in the pipeline. The Coupe’s styling is again done by Pininfarina. Most likely it will use the same engine as in the sedan, a 4.2 litre V 8 performing 400 HP.
