Wins two important awards at Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance
Alfa Romeo 8C Spider was the winner of two important awards in the 2006 Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance, held on Sunday 23 April in Cernobbio, on Lake Como.
Entered for the competition by Wolfgang Egger, manager of the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, the 8C Spider won the “Villa d’Este Design Award” and the “BMW Group Design Award”, both for concept cars. The two prestigious prizes were awarded by the public, who were there in large numbers to admire the Alfa Romeo Spider in the Villa d’Este garden and the Villa Erba park in Cernobbio.
The 8C Spider was judged to be the finest concept car in the competition, surpassing its famous rivals.
With its ever-popular sporty line, Alfa Romeo has once again scored top marks by appealing to the imagination and the desires of an enthusiastic, discerning public.
