Tailored to fit Toyota
Toyota is offering a range of specifically designed Genuine Accessories to help protect the value of its vehicles. Only Toyota Genuine Accessories are designed and manufactured to comply with Toyota’s engineering and testing standards.
“There are many generic varieties of protective accessories, such as seat covers and floor mats,” said Gary Nettle, corporate manager, sales and marketing, Toyota Customer Services Division.
“However the generic brands are designed for various vehicle brands and models, and they may not fit a Toyota vehicle properly.
“Toyota Genuine Accessories are tailored to fit only Toyota models perfectly, and with consideration given to the specific engineering of those models.”
A perfect example is Toyota’s airbag-compatible Seat Covers.
If a Toyota vehicle is fitted with front seat side-mounted airbags, it is recommended that owners only fit new Toyota Genuine airbag-compatible Seat Covers (where available).
“Correct deployment of airbags requires millisecond timing accuracy,” said Gary Nettle.
“The airbag must be able to burst through the seat cover at exactly the right time at exactly the right position.”
Toyota has a range of Genuine Alloy Nudge Bars available for some vehicles. Made from premium-quality polished aluminium, Toyota Genuine Nudge Bars help protect a vehicle from minor dings and scratches and, most importantly, are fully airbag-compatible and allow for fitment of Driving Lights.
The range of protective accessories also includes tough, UV-resistant Headlamp Covers and Bonnet Protectors.
Extensive knowledge of individual vehicle design means Toyota is best placed to provide the correct fitting covers and protectors to integrate with the style of each Toyota vehicle and help protect from stone chips, scratches and damage.
Toyota Genuine Carpet Floor Mats feature a non-slip backing and a mechanical retainer in the driver’s Floor Mat to keep it firmly in place. This increases safety by helping to prevent the mats from sliding around the driver’s footwell.
The Floor Mats are designed to fit snugly into the appropriate floor area of each Toyota model, and are available in tones that coordinate with the vehicle’s interior. Most front floor mats feature a stylish embroidered vehicle logo.
There is a Heavy Duty Protection Range of accessories available for Toyota owners who like to get their vehicles dirty. The range includes Canvas Seat Covers (for vehicles without front seat-mounted airbags) and All Weather Rubber Front and Rear Floor Mats and Cargo Mats.
The All Weather Rubber Floor Mats and All Weather Cargo Mats are made from a hardwearing rubber that ensures easy cleaning.
A raised outer lip helps keep dirt on the mats and off the carpet of a Toyota vehicle, while non-slip backings and the use of retainer clips on the driver’s mat help the mats remain secure.
All Toyota Genuine Accessories purchased and fitted at the time of new vehicle purchase are warranted for three years or 100,000 kilometres from the time of new vehicle purchase, whichever occurs first.
If purchased and fitted after the Toyota new vehicle delivery and during the New Vehicle Warranty period, accessory warranty expires with the New Vehicle Warranty, or 12 months from the date of fitting, whichever occurs last. Conditions apply. All warranties are additional to the implied warranties under the Trade Practices Act 1974.
