And Twingo-Scenic Micro Van
Peugeot has already set an example by adding to the Peugeot 107, a micro van named 1007. Now Renault is about to develop a similar strategy by also adding a micro van to the next Twingo model dubbed, Twingo-Scenic.
Renault’s successful Twingo - over 2.0 million cars built - has been on the market since 1993 with just one restyling in 1998. Now it will be replaced in 2007 by an all-new model, of which prototypes have been caught on photo among others during cold weather testing on a frozen lake in Scandinavia.
The future additional Twingo-Scenic will be higher than the standard Twingo and is a true three door car with a large rear door giving easy access for loading. Like all Scenic models, the Twingo-Scenic prototype is also featuring the typical split triangular side window and appears to also adapt the characteristic styling of the bigger Scenic and Grand Scenic.
Twingo2 and the micro van Twingo-Scenic will get power from petrol engines of 1.2L 60HP, 1.2L 16V 75HP, 1.2L 16V Turbo 100HP and a 1.5 dCi 70HP Diesel engine.
