Chrysler Imperial Concept showcases elegance, comfort and rich heritage
For the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, the Chrysler brand is concentrating on its unique ability to deliver American-style high performance with relaxed elegance and innovation.
Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring
Exactly a year since the Chrysler Group introduced the Chrysler 300C SRT8 at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the Company now brings the versatile 300C Touring wagon as a high-performance SRT model. The 300C SRT8 Touring will be as sensational a drive as the Sedan, with a preliminary performance target of 0-100 km in the low five second range.
The Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring's normally aspirated 6.1-litre HEMI engine is the highest specific-output engine offered by the Chrysler Group delivering torque at 569 N m (420 lb.- ft.).
With power delivered to the road through the rear wheels, the Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring's fully independent performance-tuned suspension offers incredible handling and a composed ride.
Topped off with SRT design touches inside and out and with exceptional interior roominess and cargo space, it's as useful and it is powerful. The Chrysler 300C SRT8 Touring will arrive in international showrooms in the second half of 2006, in both left- and right-hand drive.
Chrysler Imperial Concept
Like the great Imperials of Chrysler's historic past, the all-new Chrysler Imperial concept vehicle is designed as Chrysler's modern flagship a luxury sedan that is elegant, provocative and aspirational. For inspiration, the designers looked not only to the classic Imperials of the 1930s and 1950s but also to Chrysler's long heritage of creative concept cars.
The crisp line that parallels the sill, then arches up over the rear wheel and flows to the rear of the car, signaling that this is a powerful rear-wheel drive automobile.
The interior is characterized by the interplay of harmonious, expressively curving shapes. Everything is nested, fitted and hand-crafted with every component subtly reinforcing the hand-sculpted look of the exterior. This is a driver's car, with a minimum of distracting gadgetry.
Drawing on the rich heritage of its memorable predecessors and endowed with modern dynamic proportions, this newest Chrysler Imperial concept is the finest expression of the Chrysler marque.
Chrysler Brand
Based on new product offerings, Chrysler premium vehicles (comprised mainly of the Crossfire Coupe and Roadster, Sebring Sedan and Cabrio and 300C Sedan and Touring) increased year-over-year sales by 40 percent. Overall, Chrysler brand posted calendar-year sales of 85,347 units in markets outside of North America in 2005, a 3 percent increase compared with 2004.
