Maybach new partner of "Stiftung Intercultural Dialogue"
As part of his visit to Germany, King Juan Carlos I of Spain is spending time at the Center of Excellence in Sindelfingen on February 2, 2006. The head of state's visit to the home of the luxury car brand is centering around the new partnership between Maybach and Stiftung Intercultural Dialogue (Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue).
Maybach supports the Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue
The aim of the foundation, which is based at Schloss Schöckingen, is to promote interna-tional dialogue between cultures. Dr Klaus Maier, Executive Vice President Mercedes Car Group, Sales and Marketing pointed out, "King Juan Carlos I's visit serves to honour the partnership between Maybach and Stiftung Intercultural Dialogue. The story of the orphaned Wilhelm Maybach, whose talents were encouraged by Gottlieb Daimler and who went on to become a pioneer in the field of automotive engineering, shows how important it is to support the development of young people." Klaus Nesser, CEO of Maybach, commented, "Our commitment to cultural exchange embodies the principles of a globally active company and the values of Maybach."
