RSL, the specialist company from Reutlingen, well known for its classic VW bus conversions, is offering new add-on parts for the T5 model. Along with the styling package, the bus sports big wheels and a sporty exhaust system.
RSL provides the T5 body with a comprehensive visual package, upgrading the bus with all sorts of add-on parts. At the front, the tuning company provides the "Race" front spoiler for € 299 (price without fitting or painting), which can also be equipped with an air grille for € 29. With the headlamp eyebrows for € 60, the VW bus glowers much more fiercely and makes even more of an impression in the rear view mirror. The two side sills at € 358 create a visual lowering effect. Just so there's not too much of a draught with the windows open, the stylists from Reutlingen fit wind deflectors on the front doors (€ 61). At the back, RSL gives the rear bumper some sporty-looking corner sections. Price € 170. The top edge of the rear bumper can be protected against scratches by means of an adhesive silver-coloured trim film for € 89. The top of the rear door sports a roof spoiler, which has a stabilising effect at higher speeds. All RSL components do of course have an ABE (German general operating permit).
The T5 looks even more sophisticated if you take advantage of the RSL range of chrome parts, A fully chrome-plated radiator grille (€2 19) and a bumper grille (€ 129) are added to the front end. You'll be only too happy to open up the doors of the bus with the chrome handles, available as a set of four for € 89. And with the chrome covers for the door mirrors (€ 159), the T5 also evokes memories of blissful kombi days. Two items for the rear door form the crowning glory in chrome at the back: a trim strip for € 69 and a handle for € 80.
The front section of the interior is made a little cosier by means of a carpet set made of fine velour, for € 87, sporting an RSL logo. The sports exhaust, with dimensions of 2 x 165 x 75 mm, delivers a better sound and a few more horses. It has of course ABE approval, and with its two striking tailpipes it emphasises the sporty appearance of the beast from Wolfsburg even more strongly.
RSL lowers the 16" running gear of the T5 by means of a spring kit for € 267. And the bus, which is not exactly tiny, can of course only be adequately "shod" with big wheels. Consequently RSL fits massive 10x20" "BIG" wheels, with customised design and genuine chrome finish. RSL covers the wheel hubs with smart customised hubcaps made of highly polished aluminium. The Reutlingen tuning firm fits these fine wheels with Dunlop SportMaxx 275/35/20 tyres, guaranteeing good road adhesion in any situation. RSL offers the complete set of wheels and tyres for prices starting at € 2796.
