Unique automobile composition

Eibach, the suspension specialist, who are well known for their project cars,have just unveiled the Eibach Mazda 3 which offers a wide range of exclusive and innovative modifications. The four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1999 cm³ produces 150 hp. With its exciting design, its sporty driving performance, the sophisticated interior and the high safety features, the Mazda 3 is the ideal basis for the new Eibach project car.

Thanks to an engine tuning by RT Performance, the Eibach Mazda 3 now has approximately 20 hp extra. RT Performance is located near Aachen (Herzogenrath) and develops engine tunings for all petrol-powered cars, turbochargers and Diesel engines as well as Prototype work. The matching sports exhaust system is provided by HJS. This 60 mm sports exhaust system, made from stainless steel reduces the exhaust back pressure by more than 30%. The sporty sound has been tested and tuned in the noise laboratory and is unique with its discreet and balanced sound. A recently developed cover rounds off this sports exhaust system.

The Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Springs improve the vehicle´s driving dynamics and give it a sportier look. The stiffer, progressive wound springs with shortened travel enable the car to react more precisely to steering inputs, and lower it by 30 mm. Eibach’s knowledge and expertise derived from decades of involvement within Motorsports which, in return, has been incorporated directly into the development of this Pro-Kit, allowing an optimal tuning between the Pro-Kit and the suspension characteristics of the Mazda 3.

An Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit was also fitted. Stabilizer bars of 26 mm are installed at the front and rear ensuring load differences between the inner and outer wheel which prevent excess body roll and improve the turn-in ability of this new Eibach project car.

The suspension components are supplemented by the Aerodynamics-Kit of GTN Tuning providing the Eibach Mazda 3 with an even sportier image. The Swiss tuning specialist for Japanese cars supplied one of the first Kenstyle-products, the Mazda 3 Hatchback ISM Styling Kit, which is made from high-quality GFK. It consists of bumper, radiator grill, side sill and rear apron. Since April 2005, GTN Tuning has taken over the distribution of the Japanese brand “Kenstyle” for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. All Kenstyle products are “Made in Japan” featuring excellent processing and quality.

Spangenberg is responsible for the exclusive interior. This accessory specialist who is located near Hamburg, created a special interior in body colour. All parts have been fitted with a rigid construction using a real carbon-fiber coating. For more than 15 years, Spangenberg has been successfully offering custom-made soft trims to the trade and tuning-sector.

A further highlight is presented by Alpine. Alpine fitted a compact multimedia solution, a GPS package consisting of DVD navigation-calculator NVE-N099P, a monitor TME-M710, a DVD-player DVE-5207 and a DVBT-tuner. This GPS navigation system has won several test awards and is said to be the quickest system on the market. A new operating system with further navigation features, e.g. 3D-views, street guidance in cities, bird´s-eye views and TMCpro Service (Traffic Message Channel) has been available since May.

The wheels and tires are also exclusive. The 7,5x17-inch TS SLC-Chrome rims from Borbet were specially made for this new Eibach project car. The 215/45 R17 Proxes CF 1 tires are from Toyo.

The needs of the European market have been taken into account when it came to developing the new high performance Proxes CF 1 tire from Toyo, mainly designed for luxury limousines.  Main emphasis was put on: wet-road performance, braking potential, aquaplaning characteristics as well as long life. The sturdy outside shoulders guarantee very good dry handling while ensuring uniform wear and reduced road noise.
