The fourth generation Opel Corsa is to be unveiled at Paris Motor Show in 2006. Recently caught testing, the top of the range Corsa GSI sports biggers wheels, subtlye body kit, lowered suspension and twin exhaust. With a 1.6L 140hp engine the New Corsa GSI will only be available as a 3-door with 5-speed manual transmission. In 2007 expect an OPC version with the 175hp 2.0L Turbo ECOTEC engine.ÂÂÂÂ
The 2006 Opel Corsa will be built on GM's latest gamma platform which was co-developed with Fiat. The gamma platform was designed for the subcompact front-wheel-drive B-segment and will find its way into the new Fiat Punto, Chevrolet Aveo and assorted other Lancia models as well.
