Expansion of the smart forfour product range underlines consistent customer orientation

• smart forfour BRABUS makes pulses quicken with a top speed of more than 220 kilometres per hour
• smart forfour also available in the pure equipment line and with an additional 47 kW / 64 bhp engine
• Special edition for the German market: smart forfour pure limited edition with a price of € 10,990 (incl. VAT)
• BRABUS and BRABUS Xclusive versions extend the smart roadster and roadster-coupé range

In addition to the world premiere of the exclusive 130 kW / 177 bhp smart forfour BRABUS at the Geneva Motor Show (01 - 13 March 2005) smart will be presenting two further new developments: the smart forfour pure with an additional engine version and the BRABUS and BRABUS Xclusive variants of the smart roadster and roadster-coupé.

smart forfour now also available in the pure equipment line

From April 2005 the smart forfour will also be available in the pure equipment line. This means that for the petrol and diesel versions of the sporty four-seater there are three familiar smart equipment packages available.

As well as this, an additional engine version is available for the smart forfour pure equipment line: a petrol engine with three cylinders, capacity of 1,124 cc and power output of 47 kW / 64 bhp can be purchased in Germany at a price of € 11,590 (incl. VAT).

A special edition for the German market:
smart forfour pure limited edition to go on sale at a price of € 10,990

The smart forfour in the pure equipment line will be offered for sale on the German market as a pure limited welcome edition at a price of € 10,990 (incl. VAT). The welcome edition will be available for a period of six months and - like the other new smart forfour models - it can be ordered from 28 February.

A year after its premiere our four-seater is available in a range of versions to suit all requirements."

The BRABUS Xclusive versions of the smart roadster and roadster-coupé will also be presented to the public for the first time in Geneva. These models come equipped with extremely exclusive equipment and complete and upgrade the range of sporty two-seaters. The new models can be ordered across Europe from 28 February and will be available from May.

At the same time the smart roadster BRABUS and roadster-coupé BRABUS models available from model year 2005 offer customers an opportunity to purchase a car without some of the BRABUS Xclusive features, but to decide on the lowered sports suspension with 17 inch BRABUS alloy wheels and a tuned engine with 74 kW (101 bhp) and sports exhaust.

Further features that the BRABUS and BRABUS Xclusive models have in common are a front mask and rear centre section painted in the colour of the body. The BRABUS Xclusive versions are further characterised by spoilers and side sills painted in the body colour. Stylish interior equipment for the BRABUS Xclusive models includes exclusive leather trim, BRABUS instruments and features such as a starter button in the BRABUS gear lever.

The two new smart roadster and roadster-coupé top models will attract the attention of buyers looking for both a sporty model and a luxurious outfit for their car. The smart roadster BRABUS Xclusive has a price tag of € 26,270, and the smart roadster-coupé BRABUS Xclusive costs € 26,570. The smart roadster BRABUS and roadster-coupé BRABUS cost € 23,290 and € 23,590 respectively (prices in Germany incl. VAT).
