Holden's Vectra Gets V6 Power And Extra Luxury Features

A range of upgrades for the 2005 model year and new pricing make Holden's classy Vectra an even more attractive proposition for buyers in the market for a well-specified medium-sized vehicle.Vectra CD sedan and hatch models now offer the option of 3.2 litre ECOTEC V6 performance with five-speed automatic transmission. They also offer front sports seats with smart checked trim, five-spoke alloy wheels, twin cupholders front and rear and an MP3-compatible single disc CD player.
All 2005 Vectras are equipped with new generation audio systems. The distinctive, top-of-the-range Vectra CDXi hatch adds items such as rain-sensitive wipers, automatic headlamps, electric memory adjustable exterior mirrors and 'anti glare' light-sensitive rear view mirror and driver's exterior mirror.
Vectra CDX sedan and hatch models are now equipped with larger 17-inch, seven-spoke alloy wheels and a new exterior colour in Pannacotta (rich silver gold) is introduced to the range.
Alan Blazevic, Holden's Marketing Manager Passenger Cars, said the new specification and pricing for Vectra and other imported models delivers even greater value for customers.
"The recommended retail price of many of these vehicles has dropped by around 5 per cent," Mr Blazevic said.
Holden's stylish European-sourced Vectra is the most sophisticated mid-sized Holden yet. It utilises innovative technology to deliver a high degree of refinement, comfort, performance and safety.
Complementing Vectra's cutting-edge chassis dynamics, an interactive driving system, consisting of map-controlled electronic-hydraulic power steering, ABS with cornering brake control, electronic brake force distribution and ESP-Plus electronic stability program (CDXi), delivers excellent handling and ride comfort with high safety reserves. All Vectra models are fitted with front and side airbags and advanced active head restraints.
2005 Model Year Astra Classic, AH Astra, Barina and Zafira
The 2005 Holden Astra Classic has front power windows as standard and offers a new colour choice in Papyrus Gold. A more comprehensive Astra Classic option pack (RRP $1500) now includes 15-inch alloy wheels, ABS, traction control, rear power windows, power mirrors and cruise control.2005 Holden Barina 3-Door, 5-Door and SRi models now have MP3-compatible CD players and new exterior colour choices are Atlantis Blue and Lilac.
Exterior colour range for the 2005 Holden AH Astra now includes Breeze Blue. For the 2005 Holden Zafira, new colour choices are Astral Silver and Sandalwood.
