Since it was introduced in 1998, the L200 has become the epitome of the business/leisure crossover vehicle, its competence for load carrying, towing and passenger comfort making it a hit for both hard-graft industrial applications and pursuing leisure activities. Currently commanding 37% of the UK pick-up sector, the Mitsubishi L200 range caters for all requirements with its comprehensive line-up of four high-series and five practical and rugged 4Work models.
L200 4WORK RANGE
The adaptable 4Work models are again offered in a variety of configurations with single, club and double cab body styles ensuring that the L200 continues to fulfil a diversity of practical applications. Specifications, equipment levels and pricing are all carried over from the 2004 range.New to the 4Work range for 2005 is the L200 Chassis Cab, a single cab pick-up which has the rear load bed area deleted to meet the needs of customers who require a light commercial vehicle to convert for specialist work purposes.
Mitsubishi's 2005 4Work range consists of (prices CVOTR):
- 4Work Double Cab 4WD £14,299
- 4Work Club Cab 4WD £12,999

For those who want to put a little more under the bonnet, Mitsubishi's Power Upgrade Pack continues to be a popular accessory choice and can be fitted to all L200 models priced at £595 (plus VAT and labour). The additional ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 'piggy backs' the existing ECU on Mitsubishi's Euro III 2.5 litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine increasing output from 115bhp at 4,000rpm to 138bhp at 4,100rpm. Maximum torque rises from 177lbs.ft. at 2,000rpm for the standard engine to 202lbs.ft. at 3,100rpm. As well as improving engine response, the upgrade also results in a smoother drive at lower speeds.
