Press Release

Building off the H2's overwhelming success in 2002 and 2003, HUMMER has taken its best-in-class SUV and incorporated more features and accessories to create a special edition package for 2004. Designed for the true HUMMER enthusiast, the limited edition "Victory Red" H2 is an exclusive.

"The Victory Red edition offers the same power and unparalleled off-road capability as the original, but with more features and more fun," said Michael C. DiGiovanni, HUMMER general manager. "It's an exclusive package with a new twist on the ultimate HUMMER experience-on road and off."

The limited edition includes all the standard features of the H2 Lux Series but with a special exterior paint and an up-level chrome package, which includes the fuel filler door, hood latches and hood grabs. Also included are chrome tubular assist steps, chrome tubular tail lamp protection and chrome wheels. The special edition package also features a sunroof and an upgrade to OnStar's "Directions and Connections" plan.

Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the black wrap-around brush guard, HUMMER first-aid and tool kits, and the air suspension package with self-leveling rear air-spring system and on-board compressor.

In addition, a limited edition Victory Red HUMMER tactical mountain bike will come in handy when the trail calls for two wheels. The 27-speed bike features a HUMMER suspension fork, lightweight aircraft grade aluminum construction and the patented military paratrooper folding frame which allows for easy storage in the back of the vehicle.

"Like our trucks, the HUMMER mountain bike is intended for serious riding on rugged terrain. The original version was designed to be thrown in the back of a Humvee or strapped to a paratrooper," said DiGiovanni.

Fifteen hundred Victory Red models will be built this year and will appear in dealerships beginning in February. Total MSRP of the Victory Red Limited Edition H2 is $59,840, tax, title, license, dealer fees and other options extra.
