  • Generous interior space
Opel continues its customer-oriented pricing in the compact-car segment with the new Astra station wagon. Prices in Germany start at 15.995 Euro* for the variant with 90 hp 1.4-liter-TWINPORT engine and five-speed transmission, 600 Euro less than its predecessor - in spite of improved standard equipment. Compared to the five-door Astra, the additional price for the Astra station wagon is only 795 Euro*. The Astra station wagon can be ordered now, delivery will begin from the middle of October. Potential buyers can choose from five gasoline and four CDTI common-rail diesel engines, with performance between 80 and 200 hp. The new Astra station wagon's 2.70 m wheelbase (length/width/height: 4515/1753/1500** mm) is around nine centimeters longer than its predecessor's, resulting in ample room for rear-seat passengers and in the cargo area (around 500 to max. 1570 liters). Besides its generous interior, sleek design and dynamic chassis technology, the station wagon features several innovations that are unique in this class, such as Adaptive Forward Lightning (AFL) with Bi-Xenon technology, Hill Start Assist (HSA) or Trailer Stability Program (TSP). HAS, TSP, a detachable trailer hitch and an automatic leveling system are part of the Trailer-Package for 1095 Euro*. In addition, the FlexOrganizer system is ideal for versatile and secure storage of goods (120 Euro*). On request, the already above-average legroom in the rear can be increased by the optional sliding rear seat.
