With Volkswagen Individual GmbH, Volkswagen is reacting to increased demand for customisation within automotive engineering. At present, two main areas will be covered by this 100% Group-owned subsidiary: one-offs and catalogue customisation.

One-offs

Volkswagen Individual GmbH offers the possibility of transforming each vehicle into a personal one-off. In this case, customers co-ordinate their customisation requirements directly with the responsible Volkswagen partners or, in the case of the Phaeton, with the specialists at the transparent factory in Dresden. Volkswagen Individual GmbH equipment details are subsequently integrated into the vehicle.

Catalogue customisation

An extensive range of customisation components which can be factory-fitted. Each customer can compile his vehicle with the aid of the "Volkswagen Individual" accessories collection. A comprehensive selection of options for the Touareg is also new, including new wheels and door sill strips with the integrated "Individual" logo in addition to special leather or wood variants for individual enhancement of the interior.
