Showcases Modification Potential of New Five-Door Crossover
From the streets of Los Angeles to blockbuster movies like The Fast and the Furious, Generation Y leads the trend of customizing vehicles to express personal style as well as enhance performance - often on a tight budget. Now, these "tuners" will have a new focus of attention -- the all-new Suzuki Reno five-door crossover vehicle. With an expected MSRP between $13,000 and $15,000, the Reno offers custom-oriented compact buyers unique European styling and seemingly endless customizing potential for thousands less than competing crossover models. To demonstrate the ease and affordability of creating a personalized version of the Suzuki Reno, the Reno Tuner Concept, a modified version of American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC)'s all-new five-door crossover vehicle, was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Mich. The Suzuki Reno Tuner Concept pairs an unusual Chameleon Color Shift paint scheme that draws attention rather than blending into the background as the name implies. The Chameleon color paired with dark tinted windows, smoked headlights and taillights and TG Race Designs custom sponsor graphics will leave onlookers wondering, "is it gold or green?" - and, more importantly, "how do I get one?" Once the unique Chameleon-like color of the concept Reno grabs attention, true tuner enthusiasts will quickly note the other exterior modifications, including 17-inch seven-spoke Chromium Black Primax Sport Max Racing Wheels and contrasting gleaming high-temperature silver brake calipers. Continuing the theme, the Reno Tuner Concept's interior has been color-keyed to match the exterior with Chameleon Color Shift paint accenting the center console, door trim and instrument panel bezels. Other customized interior elements include sporty equipment like APC racing bucket seats wrapped in Enduratex carbon fiber vinyl upholstery and door panel inserts and APC sport race pedals. The high-end sound system utilizes an MA Audio Six Disc CD/DVD Changer System with fully-motorized seven-inch fold-out LCD monitor with AM/FM stereo and TV tuner to pump crystal-clear sound out of four 5¼-inch, 120-watt, full-range MA Audio speakers. While cosmetic enhancements express personal style, performance enhancements earn street credibility. The Reno Tuner Concept sports a Yoshimura Custom Cat-back Exhaust System coupled with a K&N Typhoon Air Intake System for increased horsepower and torque. To ensure performance handling, the Reno Tuner Concept employs Yokohama AVS ES100 performance tires as well as custom cross-drilled disc brake rotors.Related Articles
