Successful compact MPV expands range of Volkswagen taxis
Comprehensive range of standard and optional equipment

The Touran, front-runner in the class of compact MPVs in Germany, can now be ordered as a taxi model. From the end of November it will extend Volkswagen's range of taxis, currently comprising the Passat and the Sharan. The Touran taxi package includes familiar equipment from the Passat and Sharan, such as seat upholstery and door trims in high-quality leatherette, front seats with scuff protection, lumbar support (from Trendline upwards) and remote control for the taxi alarm. Added comfort is provided by optional extras such as a mirror taximeter, central switch for interior lighting and additional vehicle keys. The Touran taxi package can be ordered for all diesel models. The starting price for the Touran 1.9 ltr. TDI (74 kW) with 6-speed manual gearbox and taxi package is 22,855 euro.
